Role Description:As the Maintenance Manager, you will hire and manage a small team of Service Engineers to carry out planned and reactive maintenance and support the safe, efficient and effective running our anaerobic digestion (AD) and composting facilities across the US. This role more specifically supports maintenance of machinery and employees at the Maryland Bioenergy Center (MBD) and Delaware Bioenergy Center (BDG DE) The Maintenance Manager reports to the Director of Maintenance and Operations.Responsibilities:- Plan and complete all regular and unscheduled maintenance activities at current AD and compost sites.- Hire & support a team of Service Engineers and I&C engineers with technical input.- Manage the warehouse, spare parts inventory, and consumables.- Coordinate the procurement and logistics of parts and equipment.- Interact with external contractors to arrange repairs & maintenance work.- Complete job sheets and estimates for chargeable work.- Ensure best practice & compliance with health and safety requirements.- Propose projects at the compost facility.- Review electrical drawings for AD projects.Qualifications | Experience- Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience with a Mechanical, Process or Electrical Engineering - Possess a Technical Certification or Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or similar, preferably a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.- Experience with all aspects of an Anaerobic Digestion Plant or other similar process plant environment, such as landfill and wastewater.- Computer literacy in Microsoft is essential. Must be able to complete spreadsheets, reports, emails and operate the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) control system- Excellent communication skills, a collaborative manner, and problem-solving ability- Ability to troubleshoot and identify faults at plant is crucial, including basic electrical faults.- Proven ability to manage small team of Service Engineers- Experience in producing and following Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment documents- Excellent organizational and time management skills.- Ability and willingness to travel to plants and stay for period of time as needed- Live within a commutable distance to Blades, DelawareAdditional Skills- Prior work experience working with pumps, feeding mixers, hoppers, boilers, pneumatics, gas processing, switchgear, SCADA, PLCs and control systems.- Occupational training such as Confined Space, Working at Height, First Aid etc. is advantageous.- Manage multiple projects in a deadline driven environment with ever changing prioritiesPhysical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job regularly required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
