OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:This position is responsible for the design, delivery and maintenance of high-quality recruiting and selection for Biodesix. As the Talent Acquisition Partner, you will provide organization-wide support to the growth of Biodesix. This will include creating effective recruiting strategies for open positions, developing meaningful relationships with hiring managers, and building a pipeline for high growth positions where an ongoing candidate pool is necessary. The Talent Acquisition Partner will be excited about refining our hiring best practices and educating others on why they are important. This position will work in partnership with the HR team and hiring managers to ensure effective onboarding of new team members, ensuring they have a successful and positive onboarding experience. This includes the administrative aspects of onboarding, as well as continually improving the processes.
This position will also serve as the subject matter expert in building campus relationships with identified colleges. This position will be responsible for designing and implementing an approved intern strategy and program to support corporate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the end-to-end hiring process, including posting roles, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews drafting and extending offers, and closing candidates
  • Manage the recruitment process for both internal and external hiring efforts.
  • Collect all necessary job requisition and offer approvals for active positions.
  • Provide hiring managers with guidance on recruiting policies and procedures, selection best practices, and employment laws related to recruiting.
  • Engage with colleges and universities to build Biodesix’s brand and create a potential candidate pipeline.
  • Develop and manage the Biodesix internship program.
  • Create and establish a strong network for sourcing candidates in the Biotechnology industry.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with external recruiters for temp, temp to hire, and/or direct hire where appropriate.
  • Prepare and attend career fairs to attract top talent and build Biodesix’s employer brand.
  • Promote the company’s reputation and brand as a great place to work.
  • Enhance the company’s recruiting metrics and reporting using ATS and HRIS data.
  • Create and conduct training to educate managers on effective interviewing and hiring best practices.
  • Continually improve the recruiting and candidate experience.
  • Document workflow and work procedures.
COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong ability to conduct different types of interviews to ensure the best candidate is selected.
  • Skilled at attracting candidates using various sources (social media, community networking, career fairs, employee referrals, etc).
  • Ability to design and implement recruiting strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple job requisitions with different skill and ability requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive approach to work and team members.
  • Energetic, self-motivated and sense of urgency.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Eager about working in an office 4-5 days a week
  • Competency in Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 4 years of full cycle recruiting experience, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees.
  • Familiar with HR databases (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Previous experience or notable interest in the Biotechnology space helpful.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:This role shall comply, at a minimum, with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined in:
  • CLIA: Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Requirements, Title 42 Code of Federal Regulations Part 493
  • CAP: College of American Pathologists (CAP): All Common, General, Director Responsibility and Authority and all test-specific checklists
  • NYS CLEP: New York State Department of Health, Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program (CLEP), New York State Public Health Law, Article 5 Title 5
  • ISO: International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485, Quality Management Systems, Requirements for Regulatory Purposes, 2016
  • All other applicable state and regulatory governing authorities including but not limited to: CA, PA, RI, MD
