Position Overview
The Production Team Associate is accountable for shipping, receiving, and materials management.
- Ship orders using SAP software, UPS World Ship, Pacejet, or other carrier's programs.
- Receive material, label, and move material to proper storage location when incoming quality inspection is complete.
- Maintain warehouse location accuracy.
- Order shipping supplies including but not limited to cartons, tape, etc.
- Solve logistics issues. Contact suppliers / carriers to expedite late or critical shipments.
- Work in a cross functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide on-time delivery, quality, and profitability goals.
Critical thinking skills are a must.
Education / Work Experience :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse procedures, shipping, receiving, and material management
- Strong computer literacy required.
Knowledge and Skills :
- Experience with SAP or a similar system is a plus.
- Understanding of production flow and Purchasing / Production.
- Understanding of inventory management.
- Proven communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word Skills are preferred.
- Need to be able to lift 50 pounds.
