Biocair is Hiring an Export Coordinator VAC-1159 Near Burlingame, CA

Job description
Deliver the highest quality service in the industry by performing and completing daily export logistics operational tasks while complying with relevant industry regulations, customer requirements, and company targets for our top clients.

Responsibilities
- Work alongside Logistics Coordinators, Import Coordinators and Transport to ensure a seamless shipment process for all Biocair shipments throughout the network.

- Preparation, collation, and sending of all shipment pre-alert documentation, in correct pre-alert format, for export, domestic, and import forwarding-on shipments, in compliance with any appropriate regulations.

- Correction of any outdated/changed routing information in TMS (Transportation Management System), including changes in flight dates/times, flight numbers or routing so that it is always complete and accurate. Entering any changes in TMS as a non-conformance report (NCR) where applicable.

- Work with Biocair monitoring staff on post-flights and door-to-door deliveries with overseas agents, ensuring shipments departing the US are updated accordingly at end of day and deliveries occur within the specified time frame.

- Control costs and suppliers by ensuring the highest standard of service is procured, consolidating shipments where applicable, and by performing research into new routings and services to maximize the benefit to both the customer and Biocair.

- Book shipments with airlines or integrators according to routing information provided in TMS.

- Request Air Waybill (AWB) number stock with commonly used carriers and upload into TMS.

- File Automated Export System (AES) citations for applicable export shipments.

- Monitor shipping lanes/suppliers for poor performance and report to managers, logistics and procurement. Entering supplier service failure forms where applicable.

- Ensure correct application of all operational elements of the business system when performing consignments through work instructions, standard operating procedures, templates, etc.

- Be involved in the design and implementation of solutions to meet customer needs through liaison/consultation with other departments, offices, and management.

- Ensure that any information that can be utilized in the provisions of service is controlled and communicated according to company standards.

- Focus on meeting the company objectives and values.

-Other responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

Skills, Experience and Education
Essentials for this position are as follows:
- Education required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively, including through various media.
- Ability to learn and navigate various computer programs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service skills, including managing difficult conversations effectively.
- Organizational skills with an emphasis on compliance and efficiency.
- To learn, comply with, implement, and take your responsible part in all security policies, procedures, and manuals applicable to your site (including shipment, IT and Information Security).
- limited export experience will be considered.

Desirables for this position are as follows:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Export experience
- Logistical experience related to Freight Forwarding or cold chain management preferred.
- Experience of thinking critically in fast moving environment.
