Underthe supervision of the licensed therapy staff, assists in thepatients’/residents’ rehabilitation processes, to promote independence andsuccessful completion of the established rehabilitation program as establishedby the licensed therapist(s). Work may be performed within one or more of theenvironments within Billings Clinic to include hospital, inpatient andoutpatient, outpatient clinic, and/orbranch or affiliate sites.

Essential Job Functions

• Supports and practices the mission and philosophy ofBillings Clinic and designated service line.
• Provides range of motion exercises, ambulationassistance, transfer practices, and other exercises as determined and outlinedby the licensed therapy staff. (Patient Care, Rehab, Provides Exercise Program)

• Assists patients/residents to perform ADL tasks, usingadaptive equipment as a modality for independence, as appropriate. (PatientCare, Rehab, Equipment)
• Follows work assignments, and appropriate workschedules in completing and performing tasks. core
• Assists the patient/resident in preparing fortreatment. Assists with the applications/removal of braces and bandages inaccordance with proper procedure and policy. Practices sterile or aseptictechniques. (Patient Care, Procedures, Assist Patient)
• Maintains a safe, clean and orderly environment,assuring safety by using safety devices and practices to prevent injury toself, co-workers and residents. Maintains competency in all organizational,departmental, and outside agency environmental, employee or patient safetystandards relevant to job performance.

• Maintains a facility wide rehab related equipmentinventory and a current list of patients/residents using that equipment. Makesequipment rental and purchase recommendations dependent on this inventory andin conjunction with materials management’s agreements and policies. • Identifies need and sets goals for own professionalgrowth and development; meets all mandatory requirements. Participates andattends educational meetings with respect to continuing education, co-workerin-services, and Billings Clinic educational course offerings to enhanceknowledge and further professional skills.
• Performs the department’s clerical duties. Performsother duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department or organization.
