We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Medical Coder and Biller to help lead our administrative team, ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our coding and billing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and conduct accurate coding of medical procedures and diagnoses for billing using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards.
• Review patient statements, manage accounts receivable, and conduct billing operations with the highest degree of accuracy.
• Conduct audits and coding reviews to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Serve as a liaison with insurance companies, ensuring prompt resolution of disputes and achieving reimbursement efficiencies.
• Train, guide, and support junior coding and billing staff.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure documentation accuracy.
• Provide strategic insights and reports to management based on billing and coding trends analysis.
• Stay current with the latest healthcare changes and trends, ensuring our practices are compliant and up to date.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Formal training in medical coding, billing, or health information management is mandatory.
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in medical coding and billing within a healthcare setting or medical institution.
• Required certifications: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), and Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA). Additional certifications like Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Extensive experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, and billing software.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proven analytical skills, with the capability to interpret and manage large amounts of data.
• Strong leadership qualities and a commitment to ethical standards and compliance with laws and regulations.
