Job description
Bill Dodge Collision in Westbrook, ME is busy! We have an immediate opening for an experienced collision technician. If you have experience in collision repair, are able to maintain above average repair times, and understand the importance of making sure repairs are performed in accordance to factory and dealership specifications, we want to talk with you! We have a great team of professional technicians and a very well-equipped facility. This is a flat-rate position with exceptional earning potential! We also offer a retention bonus that is paid out twice a year and an enhanced Paid Time Off program that enables you to take time off without losing the income you would have generated!
This is not an entry-level position and the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-years of experience working in a body shop or collision center.
Responsibilities:
· Prepares vehicle for body work, and performs tear downs for accurate supplements.
· Notifies appropriate team members of any additional repairs needed using a supplement sheet and of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promise time.
· Checks parts against estimate and ensure proper parts are ordered and received. Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards. Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
· Maintains a quality assurance program that ensures every vehicle is properly repaired and consistently meets the highest level of repair possible.
· Works with all Collision Center employees to ensure jobs are quoted properly, timeline expectations are kept, and customers are communicated with frequently to ensure their satisfaction
· Makes sure all warranty repair orders have the complaint, cause, and correction written in detail on the back. Verifies they have punched in and out of the job and that all parts have been saved and tagged.
· Ensures that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean and safe, and that all equipment is being used properly and is well maintained.
