Position Description:

Active Project Team member providing construction coordination support, beginning with the constructability reviews, schedule development, contractor selection, quality control/assurance, up to Transfer of Care and Custody and Control with Operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for working with project engineering group to safely develop and execute overall capital project turnaround construction work as an integrated work effort to assure projects are completed within budget, scope, and schedule.
• Accountable for the safe execution of capital project and turnaround construction work as needed.
• Responsible for resolving priority conflicts in terms of resources, equipment, or timing.
• References BWO/Equity Engineering specs and uses them on a regular basis.
• Accountable for technical and budget review/approval by construction work package.
• Contractor management, including but not limited to: Tracking man hours, productivity, change management, quality, safety performance and reporting.
• Responsible for the development of project schedules and Total Installed Cost estimated in conjunction with the project engineer.
• Responsible for progress status/reporting on project schedules.
• Responsible for budget review and Notice to Proceed approval, by construction work package.
• Responsible for coordinating all BWO policy forms between Operations, Safety, Maintenance, and Environmental Departments and gathering the required signatures including: High Priority and Critical Lifts, Excavation Permits and Ground Disturbance Permits, Electrical Energize Work Permits, Road Closures.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure projects are compatible with current standard vendor usage and training needs are provided at project turn-over.
• Participate in BWO Standard processes including: MOC, leading & participating in incident investigations to closure, and Completing HazOp recommendations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

• 5-10 years’ experience working in a mechanical industrial field.
• 3 years coordinating contract work and monitoring progress in the field.
• 3 years’ experience interfacing with multidiscipline coordinators and contractors.
• 1 years’ experience covering for electrical work during high work periods.
