PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to perform routine equipment checks and maintenance, loading and ensuring sites are kept clean and equipment is safely turned off and stored. In addition, this position will assist with the distribution of concrete and complete relevant paperwork and reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Transport aggregate and other materials at the plant site
• Maintain cleanliness of plant site
• Coordinate with plant operator to maintain proper levels of aggregates and other materials.
• Push up and rotate stockpiles daily for moisture consistency.
• Notify Plant Manager of equipment maintenance needs.
• Perform regular safety checks on equipment.
• Ensure equipment is properly positioned before turning it on and off or loading.
• Promptly report all faults to the Plant Manager.
• Identify faults and troubleshoot equipment as required.
• Perform other construction duties as needed or task requested by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Proficient in reading, writing, math, and operational logic
• Have extensive product, customer and equipment knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent personal safety record
• Current knowledge of D.O.T. and C.D.L. regulations a plus, but not required.
• Able to handle many/varied details in a pressure situation.
• Self-starter with a very high standard of expectation of himself/herself and those with who he/she works.
• Positive attitude toward other employees, customers, and supervisors
• Excellent work ethic - punctuality, accuracy, and attendance
• Possess a valid CDL (a plus)
• Pass required physical examination and drug screens.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: One to Five years of prior experience operating equipment
