Responsible for the execution of the plant quality program. Reviews and analyzes current quality processes to identify areas that need improvement. Collaborates with other departmental personnel to implement changes to increase efficiency while still maintaining high levels of quality. Ensures every product meets all internal and external customer expectations as defined by specifications and published standards.

Job Summary:

• Collaborate with the plant manufacturing team and operations staff to deliver the highest quality product possible.
• Implement and track quality assessments to ensure the plant output meets the customer expectations daily.
• Utilizing checklists, standard work, quality standards, engineering standards, and iAuditor templates to monitor the manufacturing process and report on plant quality KPI’s.
• Coordinate with the Operations Team to create and implement necessary and unified changes to improve plant processes, product quality compliance, and reduce costs.
• Train production staff in proper quality calculations (FPY, RTY, DPU) and basic quality performance trending using run charts and hour by hour boards as needed.
• Follow products through the entirety of the manufacturing process to ensure each step is completed as intended.
• Perform detailed inspections of raw materials and final products and confirm they are manufactured to standard.
• Monitor production and quality processes and troubleshoot any deviations resulting in manufacturing errors.
• Gather internal and external customer feedback to identify any gaps or changes necessary to improve products.
• Track, record, and maintain quality assurance data.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and higher education preferred.
• Three or more years of related experience in manufacturing and quality assurance.
• Certified quality inspector preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of ISO 9000 implementation and lean manufacturing principles.
• Prior experience as an Administrative Assistant preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare complex reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal form.
• Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Frequently exposed to an office and manufacturing/industrial environment.
