Big Rig Chrome Shop is looking for an Inventory Cycle Counter

The inventory cycle counter is responsible for accurately counting and reconciling inventory levels within Big Rig's warehouse. This role involves conducting regular inventory counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring inventory accuracy to support efficient operations.

• Inventory Counts: Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory items according to established schedules and procedures.
• Accuracy Checks: Verify inventory counts against system records to ensure accuracy.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory counts and system records.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory counts, adjustments, and discrepancies.
• Reporting: Prepare reports on inventory accuracy, discrepancies, and trends for management review.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes and procedures.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with inventory control policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma, post-secondary education or logistics certification preferred
• Strong problem solving in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
• Excellent and professional communication and follow-up (verbal and written) towards all levels of staff including outside customers as needed to coordinate documents and shipments
• Customer focused – team player / collaborator who can also work independently
• Various material handling equipment as needed (sit down forklift, electric pallet jack, etc.)
• Positive problem solver. Looks for the root cause of an issue and can bring people together to resolve
• Familiar with shipping and receiving practices
• Must be able to work well in a team environment and display a sense of urgency in serving the customer
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Good manual dexterity
• Eye hand coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to bend, twist and turn.
