Big Metal Additive is seeking an experienced Quality Technician responsible for coordinating multiple sets of quality procedures with respective products. BMA has products in different stages of transition to production. The objective is to bring all projects forward to mature manufacturing status compliant with the standards, inspection and verification required for each specific customer. This position requires strong coordination with Engineering, Production and Business team members, attention to detail, impeccable recording and documentation habits, robust logical reasoning, and team-based problem solving.
The Quality Technician shall use standards compliance knowledge, quality assurance experience, and disciplined adherence to processes to deliver high quality products to our customers. Responsibilities will include maintenance of manufacturing records, creating and aligning compliance matrices with contractual requirements and reporting status to the leadership team. The Quality Technician is responsible for performing or coordinating quality inspections for products. Team cooperative skills and disciplined routine discussion practices are necessary requirements for this role. Accurate documentation, recording and reporting is required for compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
Experience working in a factory manufacturing environment with CNC type machines is necessary. Experience with AS9100, ISO9001 or API Q1 quality management is necessary. This position reports to the Director of Quality.
Good technical writing skills are important. Creation and editing high quality, technical PowerPoint presentations and written reports are a routine function. Regular documentation of operations, processes, and records are essential. Meeting deadlines on time is imperative.
