Description: We have a growing EL population and are looking for an EL teacher to join our team at the High School and Middle School. We currently have 110-120 identified EL students across our 4 school buildings and one online program. Under the direction of district administrators, the EL teacher is responsible for

• Guiding and assisting EL students to think, learn, and grow emotionally and intellectually
• Enhancing the opportunities for educational success for ALL English Language Learners
• Planning a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of EL students
• Creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of EL students
• Encouraging students to set and maintain high standards of classroom behavior
• Assisting in the development and implementation of appropriate EL program curriculum
• Using appropriate EL instructional methods and materials for meeting stated objectives
• Coordinating and ensure accurate assessment and placement of EL students
• Supporting efforts of the migrant program
• Assessing the accomplishments of EL students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required

Qualifications: Requires Licensure as an EL Teacher. Certified teaching certificate from the State of MN in the required subject area.
