Family owned & operated since 1983, Big Island Jewelers is the fine jewelry store of Hawaii. Specializing in custom designed jewelry at our oceanfront location off of Alii Drive, in Kailua -Kona, HI, we are looking to grow our retail team. Shift is Tuesday-Saturday from 8:30am-5:30pm. Hours and days may vary.

We are looking to expand our team with someone who has a passion for stones, jewelry design and sales. The successful candidate will need an eye for detail and an interest in ensuring that our customers can find the right piece of jewelry that expresses who they are. Our retail store is professional yet relaxed environment overlooking Alii Drive and the expansive ocean views.

More than 70% of our jewelry is design and made by our team of experienced goldsmiths. Commission is paid on all sales with no limit to your earning potential

Responsibilities include:

Committed to building and maintaining customer relationships & providing exceptional customer service to every guest who walk into the store.

Becoming familiar with stones features and attributes. Demonstrating knowledge of store products and services

Self motivated, possesses drive and is goal orientated.

Experience in sales is beneficial and valued

Team player who possesses the ability to work in a learning environment

Assist in maintaining an sales displays, store appearance, and inventory presentation.

Able to work flexible hours

Working as a team to achieve individual, store & company objectives

Managing the custom design process efficiently and accurately

Maintaining security standards

Desired skills and experience:

Previous luxury retail sales experience is preferred but not required

High enthusiasm combined with a positive attitude

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
