Big Horn Tire is currently in search of a MINE SITE OTR Tire Technician. This position is located in the Soda Springs, Idaho area. Successful candidate will work a rotating schedule, which means a qualified candidate will work between 15-17 days monthly while earning the equivalent to Full Time pay. Candidates must have a clean driving record and become MSHA certified. Big Horn Tire provides competitive compensation with excellent benefits. This position will be responsible for the following:

• Demonstrate the ability to work safely and follow complex instructions
• Properly dismount and remount tires and wheels securely on mine equipment
• Be willing to learn and assimilate into the mine site culture
• Operate independently and as a team member
• Safely operate heavy equipment
• Prepares tires for installation; mounts and dismounts tires on rims and vehicles; and fills tires to the proper air pressure
• Inspects and tests tires to ensure conformance to standards
• Examines and probes damaged, defective, or flat tires to determine the extent of damage and the feasibility of repair; and recommends the disposal of non-repairable tires
• Safely operates and maintains diagnostic equipment, hand/power tools, tire changing machines, balancing equipment, and other specialized automotive tools and machinery
• Maintain assigned truck and tools
• Housing provided for qualified candidates that need to commute

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
