ROLE DESCRIPTION - COUNTER TEAM
The counter team “CT” at Big Gay Ice Cream greets every guest from hello to goodbye. A “CT” role provides guests with knowledge about our menu, brand, favorites, and specials for the day. Your knowledge and energy should be infectious allowing our guest to feel relaxed and enjoy their ice cream with a smile. Our curated hand-crafted soft-serve ice cream cones to sundaes to shakes will make them realize just why they came in our shop. Counter Team members, the shop’s front line, maintaining a clean, and organize working environment, as well as adding to the fun, and energy of our shops.

• Arrives prepared for shift, appearance (Uniform), mentally [prepared for team & customer engagement) [skill: integrity]
• Knowledgeable and Able to perform many different tasks within the shop according to the company Standards of Service [skill: multi-tasker]
• Prepares shakes, floats, cones, sundaes [skill: menu knowledge]
• Detail oriented, organized, and focused [skill: cash handling]

We are seeking individuals with the following qualifications:

• 1 year(s) of restaurant experience working in high volume, hospitality-driven establishment(s)
• Understanding of hospitality & integrity
• Certificate in Food Protection (DOH Certification)
• Teamwork mentality and work ethic
• Ability to apply the company’s standards of service into daily work flow
• Speaks up, asks questions: direct in their desire to learn
• Outstanding verbal communication
• Engages in the fun of the company culture
