POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Handler is responsible for performing shipping and receiving functions.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Comply with procedures, rules and regulations established to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Move stock or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, containers, by hand or using hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Sort materials before loading and unloading.
- Attach identifying tags to pallets or mark them with identifying information.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
- Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets. Loads trailers with merchandise scheduled to be shipped.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment.
