About You: We are searching for an experienced, energetic, and creative Associate Designer. The Associate Designer will use a combination of education, experience, and creativity, as well as knowledge of commercial, government, and healthcare facilities, to specify and develop layouts for furniture and interiors projects (all sizes and complexity) for our government clients.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinates, organizes and leads design teams for medium to large scale projects
· Works closely with Bialek Government Account and Program Managers to provide stellar service to our clients
· Plans, schedules and directs the development of interior project requirements
· Develops documents for conformance with design concepts and construction administration activities
· Delivers client presentations
· Performs specific project interior design, space planning, and development tasks including drawings, calculations, cost estimates and FF&E specifications
· Serve as client's point of contact for questions, comments, and requests
· Provides client with feedback and follow-up
· Reviews and understand drawings/concepts prepared by others
· Participates in meetings and activities, remotely and in-person
· Performs as a team-player
· Reads, responds, and develops FF&E bids and responses
Qualifications:
· BS/BA Degree required from a FIDER/CIDA accredited program
· Excellent organizational and communication skills required
· Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage several projects at one time
· Knowledge of Government project process and contracts strongly suggested
· AutoCAD and CET experience required
· Revit experience helpful
· 5 years systems furniture/space planning experience required
· Strong knowledge of the architectural design process
· NCIDQ Certification required
· LEED Certification helpful
· Strong work ethic and leadership qualities
Physical Demands: This position requires long times of sitting, standing, walking, must be able to drive to client locations.
