Overview

This position is a travel position and jobsites can range from OH, WV, PA, NC, VA, NY, KY, MI (working a 10 and 4 schedule). Perform support functions to facilitate the safe, efficient and high quality completion of Bi-Con Services electrical division projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an environment focused on Bi-Con’s Safety Culture.
• Run conduit overhead and underground ¾” – 5”.
• Install Cable Trays.
• Pull cable and wire through conduit and cable trays from small control cable to 1000MCM.
• Install medium voltage terminations.
• Install electrical equipment from MCC, subpanels to disconnect switches.
• Install ground system from exothermic to non-reversible crimp connections.
• Installation of lightening protection systems.
• Installation of Cathodic Protection systems.
• Installation of communications systems including Fiber Optic.
• Turn in weekly Take 5 observations.
• Effective interpersonal communication with other trades and personnel on projects.
• Other duties as assigned; to include general labor duties.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of light to heavy electrical industry experience.
• Ability to read schematic drawings and terminate panels.
• Must be willing to travel in a 400-500 mile radius of Cambridge, Ohio.
• General understanding of the NEC.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to use hand tools and ladders.
• Simple grasping, dexterity and fine motor skills required.
• Has and maintains current West Virginia Journeyman’s electrical license.
• Ability to successfully operate man lifts with operating heights from 10’ to 60’.
• Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal.
