Job Description: Seeking Special Procedures Radiology Technologist! Baptist Health Floyd, Cardiac Cath Lab EP Lab Full-Time (36 Hours/Week), Days $$ Up To $10,000 Sign On Bonus $$ Newly Revised Pay Scale!! Job Duties: The Special Procedures Radiology Tech operates all radiographic equipment in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab at a technical level, under the direction of a cardiologist. The Special Procedures Technologist performs scrub assist role during Cath/EP procedures. The Special Procedures Technologist assists in providing optimum care for patients undergoing procedures. The Special Procedures Radiology Technologist records information and evaluates patient's response to procedures. The Special Procedures Rad Tech Performs all procedures with technical accuracy and thorough understanding of all procedures performed, demonstrates in-depth knowledge of sterile technique, the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, transferring procedures to digital archive or PACS for permanent record and trouble shotting equipment, and radiation and equipment safety. About the Department: The Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Department includes three labs and a hybrid OR staffed by nurses and special procedure radiologic technologists. Nurses and Rad Techs assist in various procedures including cardiac/vascular patients having heart catheterizations, electrophysiology studies with catheter/pulmonary vein ablations, pulmonary embolism thrombectomies, device implantations, and other Cardiovascular procedures. Qualifications: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiological Technology Program. Current A.R.R.T. Certificate in General Radiology. Current Indiana Radiation License. BLS for Healthcare Provider required. Minimum of two years’ experience in clinical hospital setting. One year vascular or cardiovascular lab experience preferred. Current knowledge of working under aseptic techniques and catheter manipulation preferred. We offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits.
