Job Description: Full-time Nights 30K Sign on Bonus Job Duties: Manages and assesses patients on mechanical and non-invasive ventilation. Educates patient and family on issues pertinent to their care on the ventilator. Follows through on pertinent protocols. Manages ventilators for neonatal/pediatrics and adults according to Assesses the appropriateness of therapy and makes recommendations. Performs, assesses, and instructs the effective administration of oxygen, aerosol medications, humidification, suctioning, and chest physiotherapy. Patient/family education will also include the safe and effective use of equipment where applicable. Performs effective airway management, supportive ventilation, and chest compressions during CPR. Administers medications and assesses patient response. Takes and records verbal orders for respiratory care procedures. Performs additional duties as assigned. Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required: Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Must be licensed by the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Kentucky and in accordance with the provisions of KRS chapter 314A.
