BHMG Baptist Health Medical Group Inc. is Hiring a Patient Care Tech Near Lexington, KY

Job Description: BHMG Primary Care - 2108 Nicholasville Road Full-time Position - 40 hours - 8 hours/5 days per week Selected candidate will also attend a paid Medical Assistant Training program through Baptist Health. This program will qualify them to move to a Medical Assistant position within this practice upon graduation. Job Summary: The Patient Care Technician will be responsible for the examination and treatment of patients under the direct supervision of the physician or advanced practice clinician. Duties include but not limited to the following: check in patients, obtaining vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, pulse oximetry, temperature) and medication reconciliation, patient medical history information, expediting patient flow, rooming patients, stocking clinic with supplies, navigating electronic health record system (EPIC), and performing other non-clinical duties as needed. The PCT will communicate in a respectful manner and will uphold Baptist’s mission and core values that drive service excellence. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information. Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate, within 90 days of hire. Upon hire these disciplines will be required to attend orientation| externship and additional training as needed.
