Volunteer Community Service

• Assist in counseling community based clients
• Assist with incoming calls to the 24 hour hotline
• Assist in providing client advocacy appropriate safety planning
• Assist in facilitating support groups for women and/or children
• Assist in maintaining client documentation
• Complete mandatory 20 hour domestic violence certification training within first 2 weeks
• May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Enrolled in and pursuing degree in one of the following: social work, human services, women’s studies, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, or related field
