Job Description:
The Criminal Law Paralegal will assist our attorneys in all phases of criminal defense cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of criminal law, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our practice and requires a proactive and reliable individual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in the preparation of criminal cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and subpoenas.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law and statutes.
• Manage case files and ensure all documents are properly organized and up-to-date.
• Coordinate and schedule witness interviews, depositions, and court appearances.
• Maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Assist in the development and implementation of case strategies.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and maintaining legal databases.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in criminal law.
• Strong knowledge of criminal law procedures and terminology.
• Proficient in legal research and legal writing.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
