PM Technician

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lube related preventative maintenance 
• Maintaining oil/coolant levels in machines
• Collecting oil samples
• Plant walk-through to top off machine oil and coolants 
• Respond to operator requests for oil fills
• Routine checks for oil leaks and needed repairs pertaining to oil/coolant
• Preventative maintenance such as changing out fluids, filters and clearing hydraulic units
• Plant walk-through to change air filers on fans / blowers / A/C units
• Monitor all dust collectors and assist in filter changes 
• Track inventory of oil room filter media
• Track and log oil amounts and filter changes for each machine
• Collect oil samples and send out for contamination check
• Document completed work orders and daily log of work
• Assist as directed on daily tasks assigned by the Supervisor when other functions are completed
• Effectively administers preventative maintenance to reduce future issues
• Responds to needs quickly and efficiently to keep machines running 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Knowledge of oil types, filters, and filter media.
• Previous lube and coolant experience preferred.
• Prior manufacturing experience.
• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
• Works well independently and with others.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 2 years of experience servicing heavy equipment

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
