They are currently searching for qualified candidates to join their team as Director of Financial Planning in either their Los Angeles office or Seattle office. The Director of Financial Planning will work with advisors to create customized and comprehensive financial plans for their larger clients, preparing and conducting seminars for clients, assistance with ongoing education and training of advisors, and providing additional support to their Wealth Strategist and Proposal team. You will join a team of dynamic, collaborative, and client-focused professionals that are regularly recognized as one of the fastest-growing firms in California.

CFP Certification is MANDATORY - Hybrid Option

Job Responsibilities:

  • Development of customized and comprehensive personal and business financial plans for their higher net worth clients.
  • Review the work of other team members as needed to ensure quality of work presented to clients. Focusing in the area of (but not limited to) financial plans and content.
  • Utilize financial planning software (eMoney) to generate financial plans and review them with Wealth Advisors.
  • Generate specific action plans for clients relative to the specific recommendations made in their financial plan.
  • Conduct financial planning seminars for the firm’s clients, COI’s, and wealth advisors.
  • Continually assess existing technology tools the planners use to determine changes and upgrades needed to maximize opportunities with clients and potential clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that financial planning strategies align with the overall business goals and objectives.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure the firm’s financial planning services remain competitive and compliant.
  • Mentor and train junior financial planners, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
  • Be the firm's internal go-to resource for topics related to financial planning.

Competencies:

  • CFP Designation required.
  • Knowledge of financial planning software such as eMoney preferred.
  • 7 years' experience in financial services or related fields (client-facing experience is a plus).
  • Undergraduate degree required; preferably in business-related major.
  • Strong interest in financial planning and wealth management issues.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to organize and present data.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and/or programming skills a plus.
