Job Summary:

• Consistently and reliably perform all duties as assigned, with the objective of keeping all public and common areas in a clean, neat, attractive condition. The Porter reports to the Chief Engineer.

General Responsibilities:

• Tend property and exterior area plants.
• Knowledge and performance of proper use of hand tools.
• Possesses knowledge and properly utilize chemicals, gardening tools and equipment.
• Keep parking garage, parking lot and loading dock area clean and trash cans empty. Remove trash from the property area.
• Perform regular job functions; be consistently alert to improvements that are needed, and to make recommendations to your manager.
• Notify supervisor when trash compactor needs to be emptied.
• Responsible for initializing preventative maintenance schedule.
• Constantly seek ways to imporve property appearance.
• Constantly seek ways to improve maintenance services.
• Constantly strive to economize.
• Be alert to impending problems and notify Building Engineers or Assistant Building Supervisor.
• All personnel must wear a back support belt when lifting or moving heavy objects. Goggles must be worn when handling any type of chemicals or where flying or falling particles are encountered. Hand protection must be worn when hands are exposed to harmful substances and/or sharp objects. Footwear with substantial (sturdy, rubber and adequate tread) soles iis to be worn at all times.
• Assist the Assistant Building Supervisor in their assigned tasks.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
