Bellows Free Academy (BFA) Saint Albans is seeking an Educational Support Professional, Paraeducator to work with students on Educational Support Team (EST) plans and Section 504 plans in our Community Integration Program (CIP). The CIP serves students with Developmental Disabilities and Intensive Special Needs. All students have very individualized programming to demonstrate proficiency toward graduation. Students receive their education in the general education environment, in specialized content classes, and in community work experience. The ideal candidate will support students in completing their academic work for their classes as well as use research-based intervention strategies to support students with executive functioning and organizational skills. Behavior management skills are necessary, as well as the ability to help students foster a sense of belonging. Qualified candidates must be collaborative team members and enjoy working with teenagers.Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal and communication skills, an acute attention to detail, and demonstrated flexibility and adaptability.Education and/or Experience: H.S. Graduate or equivalent, column placement based on Educational Support Professionals Master Agreement.
