Position Overview:As a member of the Guest Relations Staff, you will be the face of Beyonder Camps, providing an unforgettable experience to our guests. You will specialize in one of the key areas: Maintenance, All positions will assist with guest activities held throughout the month and assist with cleaning and housekeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance: Oversee campground upkeep, conduct repairs, maintain outdoor areas, and assist in setting up camp facilities.

• Perform duties in a safe manner adhering to all safety procedures and properly using safety equipment.
• Assist in all aspects of campground maintenance and repair of grounds and facilities; including, but not limited to: office building, lawns, out buildings, pond, pools, roadways, sewage systems, and well pump.
• Ensure completion of routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Work with the Campground Manager to purchase supplies, equipment and services while adhering to budget guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or similar setting.
• Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems and equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for positive guest interactions.
• Willingness to cross-train in guest relations and housekeeping.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1-2 years in general maintenance role, preferably in a residential housing, campground, or resort environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance
• Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery such as zero turn mowers, and tractors
• Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Availability to respond to needs during non-business hours while on-call

In the Maintenance specialty at Beyonder Camps, your role is pivotal in ensuring a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing camping environment. This position goes beyond traditional maintenance tasks; it involves a proactive approach to campground upkeep, including conducting regular inspections and performing minor repairs on facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the pristine condition of outdoor areas, such as trails, picnic spots, and communal spaces, ensuring they are always ready for guest enjoyment. Additionally, a unique aspect of this role involves assisting with checking guests in and out for various amenities like bikes, kayaks, and other recreational equipment, requiring you to have a keen eye for detail and inventory management. Your interaction with guests during these moments provides an opportunity to enhance their experience by offering tips on equipment usage and suggesting best spots for their activities. Effective communication skills, a hands-on approach, and a strong sense of responsibility are crucial in this role, as you will be instrumental in ensuring that all aspects of the campground are functioning smoothly and safely, directly contributing to the overall satisfaction of our guests.

Pay: $13.00 - $19.00 per hour
