Dental Assistant

We are rapidly growing. We cover the South Shore area of Massachusetts. Providing quality care for people of all ages, we offer General Dentistry, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics, and TMJ and Sleep Therapies. We focus on what is needed and important to our patients, keeping them educated while providing exceptional care.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients to the dental office
  • Prepare patients and ensure their comfort for treatment or other visits
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Educating patients for their self-care

Skills

  • Timely preparation of treatment operatories between patients by sterilizing, positioning and delivering instruments for dentist’s access
  • Providing patients with post-op instructions and answering basic questions about oral care
  • Preforming lab work, including but not limited to pouring impressions, fabricating bleaching trays, packaging and tracking lab cases
  • Preform weekly/monthly compliance reports
  • Monitor inventory and maintenance of records, compliance and supplies.
  • Performing chairside procedures to assist and supplement the skills of the dentist. This includes but not limited to packing cord, fabrication of provisional restorations, cementing provisional restorations, denture adjustments, denture reline.
  • Have a general knowledge and understanding of all dental procedures, materials in office and their clinical applications and limitations
  • Maintain a clean, organized and active working environment
  • Assist with patient records, including taking x-rays, vitals and medical histories

Experience with specialists (orthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and endodontics) is preferred and openness to train.

Please note that the salary of $28 per hour includes our office bonuses
