Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Production Assistant to support our film crew on a freelance basis. This person will work alongside a Producer, Cinematographer, Grip, and Camera Operators, assisting in various tasks on set and ensuring smooth operations during shoots.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the production team in setting up and breaking down sets.
• Ensure all equipment is ready for use, organized, and safely stored.
• Relay messages and coordinate tasks between different team members.
• Manage logistics, such as arranging meals, or handling paperwork.
• Anticipate the needs of the crew and address them promptly.
• Represent Betterme Productions on set as a kind, professional, and collaborative team member.
• Assist with any other tasks as directed by the Producer or other team members.

Essential Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks and responsibilities.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a production assistant or in a similar role on a film or video set.
• Familiarity with film production equipment and processes.

As a freelance contractor working in this role with Betterme Productions:

• Independent Contractor: Your relationship with Betterme Productions is that of an independent contractor and not an employee. This means you are self-employed and responsible for managing your own taxes, insurance, and other administrative tasks.
• Duration of Work: Your engagement with Betterme Productions is project-based, and the duration of work is determined by the specific needs of each project.
• Compensation: You will be compensated based on the terms agreed upon in the contract, without employment benefits.
• Termination: The working relationship can be terminated by either party as specified in the contract.
