Bethesda Health Clinic is looking for a Patient Care Manager to oversee front desk and admissions operations, lead staff and volunteers and ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. Bethesda is a non-profit clinic providing care for underserved families in the East Texas area. General Summary:
This position oversees the front desk and admissions operations, including staff, volunteers, scheduling, electronic medical records, and patient feedback and will work closely with the provider team for medical and dental as well as other leadership.
This person will be highly focused on short-term and long-term clinic goals and possess a genuine belief in our mission, core values and culture. This person must also feel absolutely comfortable praying and/or witnessing to every potential patient that enters the admissions area.

Duties & Responsibilities
· Provide spiritual support to every admissions applicant in the form of prayer, witnessing or conversating about Jesus.
· Provide leadership and ongoing support to the front desk staff
· Demonstrate spiritual leadership on a personal and professional level.
· Ensure the schedules are being filled appropriately daily and work directly with primary care providers and dentists to adequately adapt the schedule to their work schedules.
· Assist in solving end-of-day, refund and credit issues
· Oversee and ensure all daily tasks are being performed appropriately and timely by all Patient Care Representatives
· Manage lunch rotations, Saturday and “night” clinic schedules
· Take deposits to the bank daily
· Run and track weekly reports on patient visits, missed visits and other medical and dental statistics.
· Train, oversee and provide ongoing assistance to the volunteers that work within admissions and front desk departments.
· Determine eligibility for medical and dental applicants
· Manage and provide in-house patient assistance funds: co-pays, labs, x-rays, Women’s Fund, pharmacy, etc.
· Assist 64 year old medical patients with transitioning from Bethesda to Medicare or referral to other resources.
· Responsible for ordering and overseeing office supplies.
· Other duties as they are assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
· Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays as needed.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4 years' qualifying education plus relevant work experience.
· Ability to travel to local businesses and attend events to talk about the clinic and get patients signed up for services.
· Ability to learn and work efficiently in multiple EMR systems.
· Experience working with volunteers preferred.
· Spanish speaking preferred.
