Part Time Housekeeper

POSITION SUMMARY: You will be responsible for assisting the Housekeeping and Hospitality Director to clean Bethel Horizons buildings at various times of the week depending on need. Other duties may apply as assigned or reassigned. This position reports to the Housekeeping and Hospitality Director.

AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY: The Part Time Housekeeper is accountable to the Housekeeping and Hospitality Director for the quality and delivery of work produced. The Part Time Housekeeper will work with other camp staff they are assigned to work with for various tasks. The Part Housekeeper will support the work of providing cleaning service for groups using Bethel Horizons.

HOURS: PART-TIME: Varies LOCATION: Bethel Horizons – Dodgeville, WI 20 HOURS PER WEEK: need to be available to work weekends. COMPENSATION: Commensurate with education and experience

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Housekeeping

• Ability to work independently and with others
• Ability to follow cleaning protocols for each building and space
• Interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner
• Perform general housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
• Restock supplies and toiletries
• Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
• Follow cleaning procedures and guidelines to maintain a clean and organized environment
• Perform carpet cleaning and floor maintenance as needed
• Handle special cleaning projects as assigned

General

• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Willingness to work in an environment committed to fostering a better understanding of God, Self, Others and Nature.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work is preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods of time

Note: Experience in commercial cleaningor hotel housekeeping is a plus.
