Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the lead teacher to support the educational and developmental needs of our students. This is a paid position that offers valuable experience in the field of education.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and curriculum development
- Provide individualized attention and support to students
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Support students with special education needs, ensuring their inclusion and participation
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback
- Assist with classroom activities, including group work, projects, and presentations
- Help students with their assignments and reinforce learning concepts
- Supervise students during recess, lunchtime, and other non-instructional periods
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in an educational or daycare setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques
- Ability to adapt to the needs of different learners
- Knowledge of math concepts is preferred but not required
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
