We are looking for a Part-Time Prep Crew Team Member to support our production department by keeping utensils, equipment and work areas clean, orderly and well stocked.

What does a Prep Crew Team Member Do?

A Prep Crew Team Member is a position in our production department. Duties and responsibilities of a Prep Crew Team Member are:

• Performing cleaning duties; including equipment, tables, work surfaces, utensils, mopping floors, trash removal, etc.
• Preparing production area staff; such as stocking cake boards, filling ingredient bins, unwrapping butters, filling fondant warmers, folding product boxes, stocking and rotating supplies, etc.
• Condensing, organizing and labeling cookies and baked goods for safe and proper storage.
• Pull next day?s items to fulfill orders and store needs.
• Preparing cake pans.
• Operating a tempering machine to half-dip cookies in chocolate.
• Washing dishes; operating and running automatic pan washer.
• Observing and ensuring all health and safety standards.

Who does the Prep Crew Team Member work with?

The Prep Crew Team Member is supervised by the Lead Prep Crew and/or 2nd Shift Production Manager who assigns tasks throughout their shift and will work directly with other staff throughout the production department.

Education/Experience Needed

• Currently attending High School, High School Diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Needed

• Good communication skills to effectively communicate with managers and co-workers throughout all departments.
• Excellent organizational skills and effective time management skills.
• Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Attention to detail and presentation.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, which include, but are not limited to; seeing, hearing, talking, standing and being in constant motion for the duration of your shift, walking, lifting and carrying full trays of products/buckets of filling up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling full racks and cabinets of product up to 200 pounds, kneeling and crouching.
• Ability to navigate wet floors and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, both very warm near the ovens during the summer months, and in and out of coolers and freezers.

Hours

• PART-TIME; less than 20 hours per week
• Typically work week will include 2-3 weekdays from 3:30 p.m.-6:15 p.m. and an 8 hour shift on Saturdays. Must be available to work both Friday & Saturday.
• Additional hours available during the summer and holidays.
• No late nights! Closed Sundays and on major holidays, which include New Year?s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.
