Bethany Gardens a Skilled Nursing Facility located in Rome, NY is currently seeking a full time Assistant Director of Activities. The candidate is someone with previous therapeutic recreation experience and has a passion and focus on senior care & wellness in order to enhance the quality-of-life for our wonderful residents. 

The Primary Responsibilities for this position are:

Assist in Planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the activity programs for this Department.

Assist creating and scheduling a monthly program of group, individual, and independent activities for residents, including scheduling of events & trips.

Promote and communicate the monthly calendar of activities for residents.

Monitoring the response and/or reviewing/evaluating the response to the programs to determine if the activities meets the assessed needs of the resident, and making revisions as necessary.

Maintains a good rapport with all Team-Member / Disciplines involved to ensure that Comprehensive Care Planning is complete and up to date

Attends AM, Care-Plan and other meetings as necessary.
