Transportation Specialist - Recovery Advocate
Requisition #: req12543
Location: Oconomowoc, WI
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Bethany is changing the world through family. We began our work by serving one child more than 75 years ago. Today, Bethany is an international Christian nonprofit partnering with communities in more than 30 states and in several countries around the world. We strengthen and preserve families, support displaced people fleeing danger, and find safe, loving families for children who need them. Bethany is at the forefront of creating and implementing solutions to meet the growing needs of vulnerable children and families in the U.S. and around the world.
The Transportation Specialist/Recovery Advocate (RA) will be primarily responsible for playing a vital role in helping clients achieve their treatment goals. Much of your time in this role will be transporting clients to outside appointments. This individual will also develop a supportive, professional relationship with clients and provide guidance to reinforce new skills and behaviors. The RA is an integral member of the treatment team. The RA’s presence and supervision ensures a safe and therapeutic environment for all clients. RA staff share their observations and collaborate with the primary therapist and other treatment staff, helping to shape the treatment plan, to ensure that residents' needs are communicated and met within a safe and supportive environment that enhances their ability to meet their treatment goals.
This position is expected to function effectively with moderate supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.
