Hours: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)

This position offers a $3,000 Sign-on bonus ($1500 at hire and $1500 at 6 months)

As a PRS Lead Case Manager, you will be responsible for supervision of case managers and/or case support workers. You may also be required to carry a small caseload and conduct home study assessments, as needed. This individual will be responsible for helping children and families with resource referrals, community connections, and case management services while utilizing trauma care throughout service provision.

This position is expected to function effectively with moderate supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a caseload in compliance with contract terms and agency expectations as defined by program supervisor;
  • Facilitate the reunification process by conducting culturally sensitive home studies, assessments, referrals, and case management services;
  • Complete and document all required reports, case notes, and case contacts in appropriate database in accordance with the expected timeframes and requirements;
  • Provide psychoeducational information, referrals, outreach, advocacy, and support to children and families, when needed;
  • Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate Post Release Services (PRS) and comprehensive case management services, as needed;
  • Assist with hiring, training and supervising of some program staff (case managers, case support workers and/or case aides);
  • Ensure staff are equipped and trained in all ORR requirements for reuniting UC with their sponsors;
  • Provide training to local staff who are responsible for all case management or support services for client’s educational, clinical, medical and legal needs;
  • Ensure all case recording expectation satisfy state and agency requirements;
  • Assist in onboarding new case managers and case support workers across offices, to include training and shadowing when needed;
  • Review reports to provide feedback and corrections within the defined deadline timeframe, while ensuring that all reports are submitted to the contractor through the data portal in compliance with contractor and agency quality and time requirements;
  • Conduct individual weekly supervision with staff to ensure staff are aware of their job responsibilities and provide staff with on-going feedback and support;
  • Provide coverage for PRS case managers and case support workers when needed;
  • Create and implement new trainings for case management and case support teams as needed;
  • Maintain, enhance, and develop collaborative relationships with referral sources, state and federal agencies, volunteer community agencies, and employers and individuals;
  • Assist in the development, update, and maintenance of the program operating manuals;
  • Review client files and partner with leadership team in assessing fidelity to policy implementation and all federal, state and agency policy is always adhered to;
  • Participate in peer-to-peer support opportunities within the branches for growth and sharing of innovation and case consultation within the sites;
  • Keep abreast of community resources and refer families for support, as needed;
  • Stay abreast of agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services;
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or equivalent field of study from an accredited college with at least 3 years of relevant/progressive employment experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience; or Master’s degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services, Social Services fields, or equivalent field of study from an accredited college;
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English fluency or other common language spoken by refugee and immigrant populations, strongly preferred;
  • Must possess an ability to connect with collaboratives in the community with a strong knowledge of local community social services or related agencies;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in alignment with agency and program values as well as serve as an Ideal Team Player;
  • Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions;
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team;
  • Adheres to all agency and departmental safety procedures including reporting any unsafe practices, equipment and environment, and takes an active role in correcting the unsafe practice, equipment or environment, through proper notification channels;
  • Demonstrated clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills;
  • Demonstrated experience with trauma and working with unaccompanied children and their families;
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years driving experience in the US to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany. Must also pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage;
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith and Mission Statement.
