Up and coming MEP Engineering firm looking for a driven and energetic fire protection designer or engineer to integrate with their dynamic team and serve their world-class clientele to support fire protection projects. The role will focus on design related activities supporting the development of construction documents.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED.

• 3 years of experience in designing fire protection systems.

• Fire protection system sizing, piping design, and routing.

• Ability to locate sprinkler heads in coordination with obstructions and other trades.

• Proficient utilization of Revit, BIM360, and Navisworks software.

Preferred

• AS Technical Design/Drafting or BS Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience designing fire protection systems in industrial applications, as well as commercial.

• Ability to perform hydraulic calculations.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.

• Self-starter, taking direction from leadership and driven to expand knowledgebase and grow in their professional career.

• Effective, clear communication. Excellent written and verbal skills.

• Coordination with other disciplines, clients, and vendors in a professional manner.
