Best Western Plus Las Brisas Hotel is Hiring a Hotel Bartender (Full-time / Part-time) Near Palm Springs, CA

We are currently searching for a bartender from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM to join our team at the Best Western Plus Las Brisas Hotel, an oasis located in the heart of Palm Springs, surrounded by lush landscaping and an award-winning Mediterranean design. Guests enjoy exquisite cocktails all day long from our poolside Gazebo Bar & Grill and Cantina Bar. The Las Brisas Hotel has received acclaim from its loyal customers and the local hotel community due to its exceptional service, quality, and high standards, and is recognized as one of the leading hotels within the Best Western Brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide exceptional service to guests by promptly welcoming and courteously serving guests in a can-do friendly fashion, engaging in polite conversation when time allows.
  • Be fully informed of beverage and menu offerings in anticipation of guest needs and to deliver highly attentive service.
  • Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards.
  • Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, making change, and processing credit and debit cards.
  • Stock and maintain the bar to include, but not limited to, beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
  • Cut, store and ensure product quality of all beverage-related perishables.
  • Ensure the bar and its equipment are clean and fully functional.
  • Maintain a safe environment, which includes managing people with discretion and professionalism and occasionally diffusing difficult situations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have an outgoing personality with a positive attitude and a passion for mixology.
  • Ability to multitask with exceptional communication skills.
  • One year of bartending experience is preferred, along with TiPS/ServSafe certification.
  • Awareness of and compliance with all liquor laws, company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems and complaints as necessary.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, as well as serve food items and beverages.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
