Qualifications:

• Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, and guests in a friendly and courteous manner
• Must be flexible on workdays and hours. Scheduled shift work days and hours may vary based on daily hotel occupancy
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Note: This will mainly be a housekeeping position. Breakfast Attendant hours will only be included as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest rooms and common areas (lobby, fitness center, breakfast area, pool area, public bathrooms, etc) are clean and meet hotel standards
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness after they are marked as clean and work with the housekeeping team to take corrective action when imperfections are found
• Check shampoo and shower gel dispensers when inspecting rooms and replace as necessary
• Update front desk when rooms are clean and vacant
• Remove garbage from rooms, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, etc
• Change linens and towels and replace toiletries
• Clean each room in 30 minutes or less with high quality of work
• Ensure guest rooms are clean and meet the highest Best Western cleanliness standards
• Periodic deep cleaning of rooms and other areas of the hotel
• Report needed repairs to Maintenance
• Clean and maintain laundry room area
• Fold and sort clean laundry
• Stock housekeeping carts
• Prepare and setup food/items for breakfast
• Replenish breakfast and stock items as needed.
• Follow all health and safety regulations while handling food
• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, chairs, and serving station
• After breakfast is over, properly handle food and clean up and wash dishes
• Perform other duties as requested by Management
