Role Outline:As a Yard Guard, you will be the first point of contact for drivers entering our hub, embodying our values through a warm and professional reception. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining our sterling safety record and operational precision through the following key responsibilities:

- Offer a hospitable greeting to truck drivers, setting the stage for a smooth and efficient visit to our facility.
- Diligently verify shipment details such as cargo specifications, quantities, and special handling needs to ensure flawless delivery.
- Conduct thorough truck inspections, affirming compliance with stringent safety standards and validating essential documentation.
- Foster collaborative relationships with drivers by facilitating the completion of critical transport documents, including load manifests and shipping labels.
- Record and update transport data in our TMS, keeping a vigilant eye on truck movements and cargo statuses to bolster our tracking accuracy.
- Engage proactively with internal teams—dispatchers, warehouse staff, and operations leaders—to streamline the load/unload process.
- Oversee and direct vehicular flow within the premises, addressing potential bottlenecks to assure a smooth operational cadence.
- Maintain an orderly and well-equipped check-in zone, readying it with the supplies and tools needed for efficient operations.
- Champion our dedication to safety, fostering awareness and adherence to protocols among peers and patrons.
Candidate Profile:
- A high school diploma (or equivalent qualification).
- Exceptional communication and personable skills.
- A vigilant eye for detail and sustained focus, crucial for extended shifts.
- Competency with computers, vital for records and communication tasks.
- A reliable and punctual work ethic, underscored by a robust sense of duty.
- An independent operator, comfortable with minimal oversight.
- The physical ability to handle items up to 25 lbs and the requirement of steel-toed footwear.
What We Offer:
- A competitive hourly wage of $15.00.
- A robust benefits package post a 90-day tenure.
Experience Requirement:
- At least 1 year in a similar role or industry.
Work Schedule:
- A 12-hour rotating shift pattern, oscillating weekly between 4 and 3 working days (07:00 AM - 07:00 PM).
