Best in Nature ® [bestinnature.com] was founded in 2006 bringing together 30 years of experience with the purpose of providing the best all-natural dietary supplements to help people live their best lives.

Our entire line of health supplements focuses on your health needs and addressing them with premium, scientifically proven ingredients that we take great care in researching, vetting, and procuring. As such, all of our products are produced in FDA-registered cGMP facilities in the USA.

We are seeking a knowledgeable individual to join our team as a health and science writer. The projects that the person in this role will work on will include product descriptions, blogs, and other types of marketing collateral. These pieces will require the writer to have a thorough understanding of how to explain the health effects of various herbs and compounds.

The ideal candidate will have some background in writing with a focus on health, wellness and diet.

Responsibilities:

Write about scientific topics for a non-scientific audience. For example, products can include ingredients that may only have rather scientific literature discussing their benefits.

It would be the job of the writer to know or be able to interpret this type of information to make compelling and engaging blogs, product descriptions, or email newsletters.

Work will be conducted on a hybrid basis, mostly remote with the occasional office visit for a total of 10 hours per week. The current expectation is that office visits may occur once per month.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay informed about relevant regulations and ensure that all writing complies with guidelines in regard to structure and function claims for dietary supplements.

Qualifications:

• An advanced degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., nutrition, biology, dietetics, nursing, medicine).
• The ability to learn and use Best in Nature’s brand voice; friendly and conversational but authoritative.
• Proven experience in writing compelling and understandable content about health, diet, exercise, herbalism and/or medicine.
• Familiarity with nutritional analysis, dietary supplements, and product development processes.

Preferred Skills:

• Staying up-to-date on trends to be able to provide input on product development.
• Social media content creation
• Understanding of the various study types, observational, epidemiological, meta anaylsis

Preferred Experience:

Dietitian, Nutritionist, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Medical Writer

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
