Day Care Center Director

We are looking to hire an individual with an EEC Director I certification to manage our daycare in Chelsea that will be expanding operations this year. The right candidate for this position is one who can function independently to run the center, but also work collaboratively with ownership and current employees. Leadership through empowerment, and by example, are key qualities for this position. A love of child learning through play, and the ability to maintain an energetic, loving learning environment for our children are essential.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Working closely alongside owner through the accreditation process, managing and adjusting budgets for the center, and developing professional growth plans for staff
• Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations. ( EEC regualtions)
• Daily employee supervision, including orientation and training for all new hires
• Oversee and manage new parent and child orientation, including parent tours
• Maintain Children and Employee Record checklist's
• Create and implement innovative, fun curriculum for the children based on the changing needs of the children

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Required)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Required)
