Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling and independent lives. Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide support with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Implement behavior support plans and assist with behavior management
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events
- Administer medication following established protocols
- Document individual progress and any incidents or changes in behavior
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of systems for working with people with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus
- Background in social work or related field is beneficial
- Ability to provide direct support, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Familiarity with dementia care is an asset
