Job Title: Telemetry Nurse, Cardiac Progressive Care (CPCU)Job Summary:The Telemetry Nurse in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) is responsible for monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms, assessing patients' conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with cardiac issues. The Telemetry Nurse must be knowledgeable in cardiac care and possess critical thinking skills to intervene in emergent situations.Responsibilities and Duties:1. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment2. Assess patients' conditions and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians4. Educate patients and their families on cardiac care and post-discharge instructions5. Assist in emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions when necessary6. Document patient data accurately and maintain confidentiality of medical records7. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomesQualifications and Skills:1. Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice2. BLS and ACLS certification3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in telemetry or cardiac care4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions6. Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills7.
