The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent patient care during surgical procedures in the operating room. The RN will ensure the safety and well-being of patients by following established protocols and using their clinical expertise. They will collaborate with the surgical team to create a sterile environment and assist the surgeon during procedures. Responsibilities and Duties:1. Assess patients' health status by conducting preoperative patient assessments.2. Prepare patients for surgery by explaining the procedure, alleviating their concerns, and ensuring their physical and emotional comfort.3. Administer medications and anesthesia under the guidance of the anesthesiologist.4. Prepare and maintain sterile operating room conditions, including the arrangement of surgical instruments and equipment.5. Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, anticipating the surgeon's needs, and maintaining an aseptic environment.6. Monitor patients' vital signs throughout the surgery and react promptly to any changes or complications.7. Document all patient information accurately and ensure proper record-keeping.8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.9. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding postoperative care and recovery.10. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean operating room environment.Qualifications and Skills:1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.3. Bachelor's degree or associate's degree in Nursing.4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.6. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and patient monitoring systems.7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.8. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.9. Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.10.
