The Bert Nash Center was founded in 1950 in memory of Dr. Bert Nash, educator, psychologist, Lawrence community leader, and strong proponent of what we now term community based services for children and families. Our staff is large enough to provide wide-ranging services and small enough to accommodate individual concerns, both small and complex, in an affordable, quality-assured and culturally-sensitive manner. A volunteer citizen board of directors governs the center.
