Pay is based on experience. $16.25 - $22.32 per hour, 19 hours or less per week, non-benefits eligible.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Behavioral Health Specialist will be to provide a range of community based services specified youth and their families.

Some specific duties include:

  • Providing services as a member of a pool of BHS staff, to be activated on an as-needed basis for attendant service;
  • Assisting in developing and providing structured activities;
  • Maintaining a safe and productive environment during the time spent in attendance with the child/adolescent;
  • Providing transportation to and from various activities or appointments as indicated by the treatment plan or as instructed by the QMHP;
  • Providing services in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, the child/adolescent's home, the school, or another community setting;
  • Delivering reimbursable hours of service compliant with established standards;
  • Completing all paperwork associated with the financial, clinical, legal, or regulatory management of the case or the Center's operations in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Assisting with the evolution of an effective, efficient program of services;
  • Completing online State training for attendant and respite;

Qualifications:

  • Bert Nash Center requires proof of Covid-19 immunization prior to starting any position. Covid-19 vaccine series must be completed or in process to be cleared for new hire orientation.
  • 21years old; or a minimum of 19 years old, and must be at least 3 years older that the children they are providing services for. Prefer some college education in social work, or related field, but not mandatory. Must have a High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass required security background checks;
  • Reliable transportation, automobile insurance, and a valid, unrestricted driver's license;
  • Experience in or knowledge of issues in working with severely emotionally disturbed youth and families is preferred;
  • Prior computer experience and basic computer literacy;
