Job Overview:
As an Overnight Nurse at Stonegate Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and medical care of our clients during nighttime hours. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate and effective nursing care in a residential treatment setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nursing assessments, including vital signs monitoring and medication administration
- Monitor and respond to changes in clients' medical conditions and behavior
- Administer treatments and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care
- Provide education and support to clients regarding their health conditions and treatment plans
- Conduct regular rounds to ensure client safety and address any immediate medical needs
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as needed
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures related to nursing practice
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuing education activities
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse LVN or (RN) license in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health or addiction treatment
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Compassionate, empathetic, and nonjudgmental approach to patient care
- Knowledge of addiction and mental health disorders is a plus
